The Art Form of “Drag” in the LGBTQ+ Community and How it Has Navigated Itself Throughout History (Summer 2025)
This research paper explores the history and cultural significance of drag within the LGBTQ+ community. It examines how drag has evolved throughout history, from underground performances to a widely recognized art form, while highlighting its role in self-expression, activism and LGBTQ+ rights. This paper serves as a writing sample that demonstrates my research, writing and ability to analyze cultural topics using credible sources.
As the 2026-2027 Public Relations Chair for the Caribbean Student Association, Mikaila manages the organization’s social media presence and create digital content to promote events, share updates and engage with students. She use ssoftware such as Canva and CapCut to design graphics, edit videos and produce media content for the organization’s TikTok and Instagram pages. Additionally, she also help maintain the organization’s image and increase awareness of its events and activities.
